Claims Adjuster


  • Exercise proper judgment and decision-making to analyze the claims exposure and determine the proper course of action to appropriately settle claims.
  • Interact with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, physicians, vendors and other parties involved in the claim process.
  • Investigate, evaluate and resolve first and third-party claims in addition to bodily injury and litigated claims.
  • Multitask and complete assignments timely.
  • Document and communicate all claim activity which supports the outcome of the claim file.
  • Resolve claims within the claim representative’s settlement authority and refer larger exposures to the claims manager for review.
  • Must be a team player not only with the claims department but with other departments in the Insurance Group.


  • High school diploma or equivalency. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Dependable, motivated
  • Minimum 2 years related claims experience.
  • Prior experience handling trucking and general liability claims helpful.
  • Possess appropriate adjuster licenses.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Underwriting Assistant


  • Review and analyze new business submissions and renewals for underwriting department by evaluating exposure data and applications.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team to service accounts including policy issuance, change requests and underwriting.
  • Maintain service standards by responding to requests in a timely manner including quotes, binders, certificates, policies, audits and loss control surveys.
  • Work with independent agents in the auto program and directly with insureds in the builder program.
  • Provide administrative and general clerical support to the underwriting department.
  • Perform other duties as required to best serve customer, departmental and management needs.


  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Dependable, motivated
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Property/Casualty Insurance coverage a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Insurance Processing/System Support Analyst


  • Provide technical support for end users.
  • Analyze computer system policy and billing files to identify problems.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions.
  • Run and analytically review reports for accuracy.
  • Verify the system is utilizing the proper rates and forms.
  • Effectively communicate end user needs to manager and programmers.
  • Learn and understand insurance coverages.
  • Be adaptable; team player.
